ExpandTreeViewNode node
Parameters
| node - tree view node to expand |
Description
|
Expands a tree view node, revealing its children. Opens a node out so its child nodes show, exactly as if the user had clicked its expand glyph - the opposite of CollapseTreeViewNode. The usual editor moment is right after building a branch: add a Scene node, add its children, then expand it so the hierarchy greets the user open rather than folded shut. It is also the polite follow-up to SelectTreeViewNode when the target sits inside a collapsed branch. Expanding affects only the node you pass: children that were themselves collapsed stay collapsed, and parents are not opened for you - expand each level of a deep path in turn if you want the whole path visible. Expanding a node with no children, or the invisible root from TreeViewRoot, quietly does nothing. See it working in the tree and text area sample and the world editor shell sample. Requires Extended mode. See also: CollapseTreeViewNode, AddTreeViewNode, SelectTreeViewNode, TreeViewRoot, CountTreeViewNodes. |
