Here's to BRL

My point is, I think the products BRL supply to a (maybe I am wrong) select group of people, I think BRL supply a product that would benefit the coding masses that co-habit the world these days.

I toyed with a few ideas about how to gently suggest that BRL are worthy of much wider publicity to the coding community but I am by no means a marketing bod.

Just for the record I've considered changing my login name for these forums due to the fact people may think I'm from BRL, not simply an original Blitz Basic supporter. I was lucky enough to code in Blitz Basic 2.1, and I think the current incarnation of Blitz products is preferable to code in than VB6 & VB.Net.

I've coded in various guises for 24 years so thats where I'm coming from.

Why change your login name Blitzplotter.You have been on the forum
for a while people know you by your login.I have been on here for a while and i am not changing my login for no one.As for BRL needing publicity i think they are doing ok without it.(my opinion)

Sure, BRL may be doing OK as is, but would a mass of new users actually be a good thing?

@Nice_But_Dim, well I'll maybe stick with my login, it was plotting stuff in BBasic 2.1 was where my login came from anyhow. Thanks for the suggestion I keep it the same.

BP you've been around long enough to know this topic has been brought up before... BRL don't seem to -want- to be well known; that's the consensus, isn't it?

Yes, because then there could be enough financial revenue from new purchases to warrant time spent on new features, bug fixes, etc, etc.

Yes, because the bigger the incoming cashflow, the bigger the odds that the products will continue to be supported /enhanced as time goes on...

Some extra 'motivation' doesn't hurt. :-?
