Is Windows updating (showing no icon)???

Hi all,

How could we know if our windows is updating via internet?
(Sometimes there is a yellow icon in system tray showing the progress in %, sometimes none)

You will be aware if you have incoming traffic that is unexplained - you can then check if your PC is connected to a Microsoft update server via netstat or any 3rd party software you may wish to use - some firewalls may actually identify the traffic source for you.
