Reaching goals.

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Reaching goals.

Well, 2009 is shaping up great for reaching certain goals I wanted to accomplish. Among those are obviously writing a hit casual game, designing a unique t-shirt clothing line, and fronting a bar band as singer/guitar player.

The latter was successfully pulled off (the crowd went absolutely NUTS!) We played 19 songs at a bar for 2 hours and it was one of the most intense, rewarding experiences ever. The name of the band is Soju Speedbump and you can search for us on YouTube.com . There are quite a few clips that were taken and put on there. Btw, I'm the guy with the Adidas shirt on.

Hey that's awesome I'm in a band too, we play folk music.

I play electric ukulele in my free time, and am looking for a rock band to play it in.

My goals were to improve on my game making (which is a fuzzy goal but still one I'm accomplishing) and to record some music, which I'm doing with some recording equipment I just purchased.

I want to use my new microphone and software for voice overs for my games too, and maybe get into making game music, as it seems there are not a lot of game music musicians around here.

I no longer believe in setting goals for a year. Usually, a lot of life comes in between me and the goals I've been fantasizing about, so I gave up on planning ahead for more than a day a long time ago.

Anyway. The last time I played in a band (Metal) was more than twenty years ago. I think I should buy a new bass guitar this year. I want to have one with a MIDI pickup, so I can use it with Logic 8 and Reason 4. MIDI keyboards are just not the right input device for me, but I could handle a bass pretty well, so in my case this rather exotic configuration would make sense.

I bought a MIDI keyboard but because of the latency issue I can barely use it. I just use my amp and mic.

pretty good music there sonny
