Can this be done.... ?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Can this be done.... ?

I went mad recently and bought a 2nd monitor, which kind of become my primary one coz its 24" of 1920 by 1200 loveliness.

anyway, what I was wondering was has anyone created a script in Blitz/VB/VB.net which would allow for a desktop shortcut to extend to the 2nd monitor/ return to single monitor rather than faffing with the desktop properties each time ?

Regards - BP.

Ultramon can do this via shortcut.
And it only costs 17.95 $ / license if you buy 1.000 of them.
Hope that helps.

thanks Volker.

If you have an ati card then you can do this too. It allows you tp put shortcuts to profiles on your desktop. I use it to have a one click solution for extending output onto my LCD TV for media viewerage.

Why do you want to do such things

I find it simpler to use FN + F4 on my HP !!

- Those FN combinations only work on laptops, not desktops
- Secondly: I doubt that actually extends the desktops to two screens (and vice-versa), all laptops I've come across only allow you to mirror the built-in screen to an external monitor by default.

some lenovo laptops if not all allow you to choose between mirroring or making it an extension of your desktop.
