This is amazing! 80

Neat, the beginning is cool, but the rest was just shot between two trains and was a bit boring.

Awesome!

Very interesting!!!

Valve was very impressed with their work, there will be more episodes from them.

That was really good, however I wonder how far they could go with this before they lose their 'o cool!' factor and have just become almost corny.

Not that I am putting there work down it really was Awesome! However in light of new episodes I was just wondering the above.

Some of the compositing is a bit strange. At times there are people with totally washed out colours while the background looks absolutely normal. Sometimes looks a bit flat that way.
They did make this while experimenting with techniques, so I guess that makes sense.

However, I guess that also hints at how many layers are involved here. Awesome special effects work.

I love how the Combine move around as robotically as the characters in the game :P
They could almost claim this to be a target render for the next Half-Life game.

The 'story' and the effects in some parts either didn't make much sense or was kind of unrealistic (when a combine/rebel gets shot there is no body effect, just blood splatter).

But for the budget and the time given.. this is quite epic!

:D I saw this in a steam news update yesterday and was very excited. I've been wanting a Half-Life movie but this'll do ;) At first I couldn't tell if the combine were real or not, a few scenes more and I finally figured it out, they are real people.

If there was a movie, I know exactly who could play as Eli, http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery?s=Morgan+Freeman&gwp=13. There was another guy who looked almost exactly like Eli but I forgot who he was.

Morgan Freeman is a god :)
