Especially when the only long term perspective in the current job world is to be out of a job soon?
I've been working towards my own business for a good while, so I personally think this is a good idea, regardless of the state of the economy.
The more people say the economy is bad, it will be bad and only get worse, its a vicious circle.
So yes i agree with noel.
I agree. The economy is only bad for large companies and banks, the kind of companies who have make believe money. Smaller companies who usually have equity for their stock, and have products people actually want aren't in any kind of trouble.
We're entering a full-blown depression. Like the US in the 30's, only worse, and it's global. I still think starting a company is a good idea, but with a couple of caveats:
1) You must be able to start it with miimal or no debts.
2) It must cater to the times. Good businesses are:
-Food (people always need to eat)
-Security/home defense, guns
-Survival supplies
-Cheap entertainment, e.g: XboX live games
-Precious metals
It is now you can get real good people to helt you company to make a good start.
Invest invest... not in stock thoe :)
