1) World of warcraft bot running every night mining an oring.

2) poker bot runing all night at pokerstars.com

the bots runs a whole month !what is the salary for the owner after this month ? if you dont get cauth ?

When refering to "Bots", are you refering to programs that automaticaly plays out tasks in a MMORPG game ?.

A bit of a language barrier, although I understand what he is saying, although I don't understand what the point is.

@ Wings, if English is your primary language you really need to work on it.

Both of those are not reliable sources of income, because 1, the prices of WoW accounts go down due to the fact so many people use bots to basically 'generate' maxed accounts. And 2, even a computer can't make you win poker. You would be better to use the double on a loss method in roulette at a casino.

The world will not be run by big bots, bot cars, bot workers, etc. My real job is based at a billion dollar printing company, and they can't get a fricken 10 million dollar specialised machine with several specialists on the floor to print more than a thousand sheets correctly. There will always be a need for people to monitor, engineer and maintain machinery because frankly, people are just too stupid to create something that is smarter then themselves, or something that maintains itself - you can't squeeze more juice out of an orange than its own size. They can however, replace jobs by optimizing a procedure.

Anyhow, what's your point...are you high?

There are lots of players on online poker sites that would lose to a bot. Actually, you can play Hold'em from a pure maths POV, when even the best opponent cannot make good choices. If the bot is good enough, it would make money on average.

That said, poker sites have quite aggressive bot detection mechanisms in place I hear...

Aaahhh !, now I understand... It's an artifitial Bot, that is used to save you from sitting on your own Bot !

P.S... In the UK, a Bot is also known as a Chad !

I have a couple friends who thought it would work that way. Needless to say, they've learned.

The problem is also that if there is public, or even private bot tools for a specific site/app, then you will probobly find yourself versing someone else using a bot as well. Fire vs fire. There are some online poker algo's in place as well to average out a players losses over wins.

What your talking about is illegal in some cases and will violate the Terms of Service of all those organisations. The risks are pretty high and the returns are pretty low. Unless you are carrying it out on a huge scale (or your time has no value) you are unlikely to make much money.

In any case I would advise you to find something more worthwhile to do with your time.



Um, a chad is usually a graphic charecter drawn on a surface AFAIK, or a country in North Africa. I've never heard of bots being referred to like this.

And what is the general consensus here about using bots for games and such. I would imagine a game creators community would be generally against them...

Personally I could care less about their use in games, especially MMO's. It's one thing to like the game enough to play it constantly and obtaining high levels... but to use a bot to raise your stats for the sole purpose of getting the stats, and not playing the game?

I don't know who has more issues...

EDIT: That may not sound like what I'm trying to say, but I just want to clarify that I'm not trying to cause anyone offense, I just have issues conveying a point on forums sometimes. :)
