Which is better BMAX3D or just B3D?
Bmax3d and B3D
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Bmax3d and B3D max3d isn't finished yet, so I would say b3d is better at the moment - given that it works and all.
What is the point of this question? I mean, Brucey is correct as far as a direct answer to your question, but I'm wondering what is the reason you are wondering about that.
I have B3D and was wondering if BMAX3D was better.
ah okay thanks for clarifying. In that case, you should note that you would need to get BlitzMax first in order to use Max3D, and miniB3D is already available to use with BlitzMax. Thing is, miniB3D is essentially identical to Blitz3D except that it is cross-platform. So if you have no problem being tied to Windows then you have no reason to switch from Blitz3D to BlitzMax+miniB3D.
Well I suppose that's not the only difference. After all, the language you are programming in is different. Most people would judge BlitzMax as a better programming language than Blitz3D, but again if you are fine with programming in Blitz3D then it's probably not worth it to you to switch.

i would say b3dMAX is better because of the language compared to B3D
Okay I was just letting BMAX3D slide because he seems like a newbie, but what in the hell is b3dMAX? Do you mean BlitzMax+miniB3D or do you mean BlitzMax+Blitz3D SDK? Both map equally well to your cryptic "b3dMAX" and your stated advantage of the language used, but the two interpretations mean rather different things.
I do not own BltzMax,but what i have seen so far buying a £200 graphics card just use max3d,is way to much for me.
probably not relevant to this post, but there you go.
So Blitz3D is good enough for me at the moment. It does everything i need for the time being.
Stick with Blit3D SpaceMan94 for the moment. It is a nice solid engine.

You should be able to buy a 9800 gt for just over (maybe even under now?) 100$ usd, which pretty much runs any modern game near max settings (crysis, farcry, etc). Not to mention, max3d doesn't require anything like that and minib3d should run on the same specs as b3d.
I have played around with both b3d, and blitzmax + minib3d, and unlike b3d, there's source, and updates applied the minib3d, not to mention the nice little feature of cross-platformability.
Max3d...uh, maybe check back on it in a couple years lol.
Assuming he has $100 to spend.
When max3d is stable and has a legit owner i will think about it.
svn would not trust your mum with that.
