getcolor doesn't match paint colour

I'm playing around with the GETCOLOR command. I drew a blue rectangle in PAINT and checked the color by using the pick colour option - it gave red as 77, green as 109 and blue as 243. I saved it as a 24-bit bitmap.

In blitz I did the getcolor command on one of the blue pixels and it shows RGB as 72, 108 and 0 !!

Can anyone help?

What bit-depth are you using in your Blitz program?

Regardless of the bit-depth, a blue rectangle should never have a blue-component of '0'
