the produkkt / fr-041 debris -> false positive?

Hello,

Some of you may know that fancy demo filled with procedurally generated content that was put out a few years ago.

Anyway on their main site they mention there is a false positive in the 'kkrieger' game they developed reporting a trojan. I tried to download the other demo 'debris' and NOD32 reported a suspected threat "Probably a variant on Win32/Statik" whatever that means.

I've spent a while looking through the web trying to find information on what this "Win32/Statik" is - even in NOD32's own virus encyclopedia (it's not in there) and whether the demo really contains a virus or not?

Does anyone know if this file is infected with something? Or is it just a false positive.

Not infected, never were. Probably just a compression algorithm that your antivirus is alarmed about.

Oooh, I haven't thought about farbrausch in a while! When it came out tracer insisted he was the one who made it. I think I'll go and have another look at them.

Put it this way - you think anybody here has an ego? You never met tracer. Got himself banned, allegedly threatened to sue BRL if they didn't unban him. He's still banned to this day. Detestable character.
