Max3D forum

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Max3D forum

Is Max3D going to get it's own forum? Just that General Discussion is likely to get swamped with Max3D threads, otherwise.

yes.. it will

I think the Google Group is supposed to fulfill that task.

Yeah, to some extent. There will still be Max3D questions here though, I bet. Also, why move discussions of a BRL product away from this site?

It is far better to have a dedicated forum here than anywhere else...

Question: to post in this forum user need to be 'registred user' (= they must buy something), right?
So if Max3d is open-source how can 'external' people access this forum?
1. having 2 forum is a waste of time (different is to have an external repository)
2. can BRL make some thread 'freely' accessible for external users?

Said this, I would like a 'Max 3d thread' on THIS forum (mainly because Max3d *SHOULD* be initially for BlitzMax)

Yes, I believe BRL can make forums accessible to anyone, not just registered users.

What about the extra traffic that this will cause?

Who pays Mark's bills? :)

They tried that before yonks ago. Every troll and his brother turned up and there were more flamewars in the open forum than there were in the members only Off-Topic forum.

You can still post on some forums here without being logged in, Amon.

When (or if?) BRL takes the decision to and where open and keep a forum, Brl should take too the decision about the 'documentation' of Max3d...a Wiki, an HTML static page, a .txt file!
