What gaming sites do you guys look at?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/What gaming sites do you guys look at?

Evening all,

I was wondering what gaming related websites you all use to get info on upcoming games (PC , PS3 and XBox)?

If you could let me know what are your favourites that would be really helpful.

thanks

Eurogamer, IGN and GameSpot for "AAA" stuff. GamerBytes for XBLA/PSN stuff. IndieGames and TIGSource for Indie stuff. And EscapistMagazine for yuks.

GamersGlobal, MaxConsole, TouchArcade

For what would it be helpful btw?

Gamespot for AAA reviews.
BinaryJoy for mixed news
GameZebo and CasualReview for Casual
JayisGames
TigSources
2Bears
EscapistMagasine (for Yahtzee)
Oh and I check BigFishGames each day for what's new.

That's pretty much it.

Thanks guys, I'm researching what gaming websites are popular amongst the gaming community to ensure my company contacts them all for the best press coverage of our latest game ( http://www.wheelmangame.com/ ).

Ah.. I'm sure ... Midway ... have some PR people who'd have an idea?

Probably, but the boss thought that the gamers in the office would be more in-tune with the popular and more obscure gaming websites than PR people, and I knew there would be a few gaming types on here also!

Not heard of a few of those that Grey Alien mentions, so I'll check those out tomorrow.

Scary this global economic crysis, even Vin Diesel is looking for a job.

http://www.bluesnews.com/

gives a good compilation of the day's news, including previews and reviews.

RockPaperShotgun!

www.1up.com

games.fok.nl
www.gamer.nl

Both are dutch though

Most I read on games are just the reviews, so with that in mind, I use Game Rankings since it compiles all major review sites into a convenient list of links under a game's profile, as well as providing an average score based on the submitted reviews.

GameSpot I tend to go to here and there for game previews, and aside from that (and Zero Punctuation), that's about it.

By the way...

Take a look at www.gametunnel.com.
Its a indiegame reviewsite i had never heard of.
It seems pretty good.

Looks cool Vorderman, thums up.

What aspect are you doing, driving physics? ;-)

Gamespot, Eurogamer, 1UP sometimes trawl Metacritic and Penny Arcade.

I don't play any games whatosever these days. Might be buying a console or developing one though!

Rob, I assume you mean developing a game for a console and haven't lost your marbles and started considering launching a console of your own?

You've never heard of Gametunnel? Wow.

As for me, Blues is pretty much to go-to site for gaming info.

Ha, no! I'm an environment artist.

I've recently started rebuilding http://www.indieinfo.com . As before, the aim is to add news for any indie game released, in development, etc along with any tools/apps concerning development and dev-related articles...all wrapped into a very easy to navigate simple site. I had ran out of time last year and took it down for a while.

I don't look at any, dunno why.
