New site!
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/New site! Quick impression. Simple but effective, it worked for me. Perhaps it could be more interesting though, depends on who it's aimed at.
Not particularly *aimed* at anyone, just a bucket in the web for my stuff.
I personally despise that js/flash image viewer, but otherwise I like the site.

I have to ask, why? :)It's javascript, not flash just so u know (I hate flash).
I was positively surprised that it follows the new Web 3.0 standard:
1) Space between the browser window and the content around the whole page
2) Resizing content area
3) Horizontal glass tube menu bar with hoverable menu selections
4) Gradients and reflections
5) Not too small Verdana font
Some flaws I detected:
reg. 2) The page can be resized smaller only to a certain width
reg. 3) The hovering should use a color, like blue and have the same glass tube effect on it
reg. 4) Shadows are still missing

I have the 'glass-tube' effect on hover now, still trying to work out that tiny 1 pixel spacing between the option and the last..
EDIT: That will do for now.

The image viewer annoys me because it's not very user-friendly. As a Web2.0 (I even hate that term) application, it has design failings.
- The 'close window' gadget is bottom-right.
- It's not a real window, which means I can't Ctrl+F4 to quickly close it. I'm forced to mouse to the 'close window' gadget.
- It breaks (only visually though) in Opera 9.62.
- It's invasive. When I click on a thumbnail image, I expect normal behaviour. This js image viewer is a surprise. It interrupts my flow.
Just my opinion :)
[edit] I suppose I should say that it does have its nice features too. It resizes the image with the browser window and it is somewhat visually appealing (if you like that sort of thing).

I agree, it's visually appealing and has a nice un-cluttered interface.

I found that weird too.. (bottom-left you mean?) I'm still looking for a way to move it. It's not a real window, which means I can't Ctrl+F4 to quickly close it. I'm forced to mouse to the 'close window' gadget.
You can actually click anywhere else on the page (anywhere other then the buttons for the viewer) and it will close.EDIT: That was easy.. The close window button is now in the top-right corner, and the controls on the bottom, near the image name.
Hey thanks for the mention on your blob game page :-)
