Gif programs

Does anybody know of a program that will turn an animated gif file into a sprite sheet? or failing that just separate them out into individual files.

I think the free version of Jasc Animation Shop 3.11 can do that:

Take a look at Gimp. It loads all the frames of a gif file into separate layers. You have only to manage these layers in any way you like.
