Windows install guide?

Where is it? I lots track of it, and a full year has gone by since I last installed blitzmax on windows (I code on a Mac, and actually this is will be my first windows boot in a long time)...

I recall having to install something like gcc and add something to the path...

You run the installer and BlitzMax is set up for typical use.

If you also need to build modules then you must install MinGW. The instructions are at the top of the BlitzMax Module Tweaks forum.

What version of Windows? There's some differences in the MinGW setup between XP and Vista

On vista, disable UAC
