Green Little Men Adventure Game, first test

We have come from far, but the 'green little men' adventure game is in the works. After not completing the development of a couple of adventuregames in about 15 years of programming, all ideas I got in this period, come together now.

Hey, i love the look of that!

The background/foreground are nice, but I don't like the non-smoothed lines on the ufo/alien/sheep/balloon. It just doesn't fit with the background.

Tidy those up and you're laughing.

Thanks! The 'objects' are from an older version without alpha blending. I actually think that these object have to stand out of the background... will have to try some versions. The balloon is smoothed though.

I like it. Alpha-blending issues aside, it's got consistency, which is the biggest thing with graphics of this type. I wonder whether the near-side silhouetted layer would look better in a paler color though. Perhaps a grey, or just a color without too much saturation. There's just something which feels awkward for me with the contrast between the black and the mostly-pastel colors in the main image.
