Program Remove?

Hiya all,

I have search google to find good Program Remove as I just couldnt remove the 1 files from Add or Remove program. Before you say it is virus and no it isnt virus as it is files that I want to remove as I can remove other no problem

it is there free good remove tool that can get rid of the files...

You could just 'shred' the file - Spybot Search and Destroy has a file shredder.

Don't completely understand what you're talking about.

If you're saying you can't uninstall something via the usual method, manually delete the installation folder, then try uninstalling from Add/Remove programs again. It should spot that the installation folder has gone, and remove it from the list. If not, you're going to need to do it manually via the registry.

@GFK: I think he is asking about how to delete a file which is write protected or still in use by a process.


Some Installshield installations put the uninstall executable into Windows' directory, so that the uninstall app will run but give an error and Windows will not ask to remove the program from the list. In that case the uninstall executable in Windows' folder should be removed too.
