Another game I have play for mega drive long time ago called Thunder Force 4 and I got right the end of boss last level. It took me 30 Mins to kill the Boss as it was hard but not hardest boss like video I have show you!

What your Hardest Video game Boss that you have faced?

Man I have no idea how you managed to avoid all those shots, the collision area of your player ship must be really tiny, or you are really expert!

There's a word for that kind of shooter... bullet something... I think.. anyway, in those games, the collision detection for the ship is a single pixel in the middle.

"Bullet Hell", I believe is the term you're grasping for.

The first boss in Double Dragon was really hard... not so hard you couldn't beat him but hard enough that you couldn't beat him without having to play the rest of the game with one life.

What a stupid game.

its an arcade game designed in the style of alot of 80 - 90 arcade games. credit bleeding!

The Bosses in Metroid Prime on GameCube were tough basts - especially the final one. Mega tough.

I don't know about the hardest, but the easist was the main general guy at the end of outcast. They stupidly didn't playtest the game with the flamethrower weapon, which killed anyone/thing with 1 hit, which rendered the end boss as easy to defeat as a normal guard.

boomboom, I completely agree. What a let-down!

I think the hardest was "Ultima Weapon" (Final Fantasy 7 9999/9999)

I hate games where bullet hell is there only to eat lives/coins, though it became very common in many japanese shoot'em ups. Bullet patterns must always have a way out (and good use of math functions is helpful), or it shows lack of proper game design.

EDIT: I just thought about Wingstar, a 1996 DOS shoot'em up which was actually very good as far as I remember, but had a boss which wouldn't die, and I never understood if it was a bug or not; I always died out of boredom after tens of minutes of shooting. If it was a bug, I didn't see one of this kind since the 8-bit era. :)

That game's insane. Here's a version of the game for those without a computer:

Yep, that game is dumb. You have to lose lives as many times the player had no way out, regardless of where he went.

@big10p, i alway seem tio get really excited when i'm doing well at that game, and bugger it up :o(

The boss at the end of lylat wars was pretty tough (on the N64) - still gave me something to do while I was waiting for my back to fuse back together.

ups..ultima was FF8 not 7 -.-

Wow... looks hard.. the Japanese lady screaming every 2 seconds must get annoying though

Gaia at the end of Toshinden was another major end-of-game-baddie-let-down. Could take him down in three or four moves.

The entire game was so easy that it got to the point where I only played it to see if I could get through all the main characters, Gaia, and the hidden characters without even getting hit.

The boss on level 26 (I think) of the arcade classic, Rygar

Here's a tip if anyone still has a Rygar unit down the street...

Play two players with the appropriate spare change, but press 1 player start - followed by 2 player start...the 2 player game begins (but you have a extra credit)....worked on any Rygar ever played.
