Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Xors3D Out What is Xors3D?
where the link please
Xors3D is DX9, cutie, SM3 powered and stuff :) command set entirely identical with B3D command set(except they do have X in front of each commans, eg. PositionEntity --> xPositionEntity) and of course difference is new commands related to DX9 and shaders, but its so simple to use..it support B3D file format and so on..shadowmapping, shaders, integrated physics engine..yummy..and you can use it with B3D of course :)

Wow! I'm going to read up on this...
no, its not out yet...he (the maker) just made a poll in his forums, if he should release the unfinished version soon (weeks) or the complete version later (months, years...?).
however, the beta is out since months now, with a 30min time limit though...nothing new about it... ;)

I said they are ready to fire it out..and asking folks about purchase interest since many of us keep asking for it..engine is stable and they already developing game with it as you were able to see on forum..i have tried it and testing it quite some time, and every single level in my game working well with real time shading, specular bump maps , and so on..there are some bugs and folks going to update system regulary..but as i said, every single level i have (180K per level), working like a charm with all fancy stuff with no problems at all..and yes MGE buddy..command set is identical as B3D (having in mins one 'x' in front of command, and excluding dx9 stuff what is written in B3D'ish fashion)...i do believe that everyone who likes B3D so much will be happy to see that thingy a in hands..

Bitter memories of developing in another unfinished buggy BASIC would encourage me not to purchase this product until it's proven stable, so if you're canvassing for opinion then my honest answer is no - I wont buy yet. DarkBasic said they where going to fix bugs and never did, BlitzMax said they where going to deliver a 3D engine and we're still waiting.
The proof is in the pudding as they say, whilst i'll watch this engine keenly as it does look very promising for Windows only development, i'm not about to part with cash on the understanding i'll have something grand further down the road - i'll part with cash when something grand can be exchanged for my hard earned wedge there and then.

Actually the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Ah, I love to be pedantic.
That sounds good :o) I'll keep an eye on that.
If this works, I guess the fastext.dll will be 2nd best?
Does Xors3d handle relection / refraction?
(I guess I should go to their site and see)
