I've been playing the demo every night for the last three nights. I love this game. I think it appeals to teh side of me that when playing Age of Empires or Command and Conquer would just build brilliant base defences and then see how long my base lasts. I'd highly recommend this game to anyone.
Just bought Master of Defense
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Just bought Master of Defense Ooh, I might have to check out the demo.
Oh, this thing - I remember. I thought it was some new AAA game or something.
I like these types of games, the total wars are good, so is age of empires. What was that one called where you play from caveman to Nukes? Empire earth or something...
Empire earth or something...
I have EE, and yes I think that is what you're thinking of.I had a good time playing the demo of this game awhile back, not too challenging though nor any type of 'create your own scenario' type thing, so there wasn't much of a lasting value in buying it.

I'd agree with you there, I've already completed it, it would be nice to build your own path and pick which monsters attack, also a few more tower types would have been good. Maybe the author's working on a sequel?
Gah, this game's addictive, where'd my day go?
Yeh agree it wasn't particularly challenging (Except for the final difficulty level which jumps up to rediculousness). If you have a PS3 I'd recommend Pixeljunk Monsters, the same genre with a few tweaks and a better challenge.
PS3!?!?! sorry, I'm a 360 player. If I decide to get a console that looks like a george foreman grill, then maybe I'll think about the PS3. ;-P
PS3's better and you know it ;P
defend you castle for the wii is some what similar, only instead of placing towers, you are the tower. you pick up the invaders and fling them. great fun.
So... I guess the question is does Xbox Live have a similar game and if not, then perhaps you should refocus your priorities from how a console looks to the games it has. ;]
They made defend your castle for wii?
Ummm yeah, is there a pc version somewhere??
there are lots of games like this for free, much better the defend the castle.
here is one:

its playable in flash, you dont have to install anything and you can play it at work when you got less to do. Even the first level is hard to beat when it comes up to 50 cicle of attack. Try it its great fun and it requires some brain power :)

I love the Master of Defense game. Had my hooked for a while, with survival, and best tower placement ideas. Very good from an indie Dev.
Ross C: Did you find the same strategy as me? To build a couple of towers and power them up rather than lots of smaller one's. Upgrading a tower is mostly better than building a second one next to it.
Are there any money cheats in this game? I never seem to have enough money to upgrade what I want.

At first money is very tight yeah, but the money people you save, the money you have at the end. Putting down fire on the path, right where the monsters come out is a good strategy, then placing another when the fire runs out, and powering up the fire. I never really bother with the thorn/plant type towers though.
I agree with upgrading too, but i try to have an extra tower, incase the first tower isn't enough.
ALSO! Don't put two tower next to each other if you can help it. They tend to shoot at dead targets sometimes.

This game coded in b3d? Hmm...how'd I miss this one?
thanks for the tips on the towers Ross, I played through standard mode again last night and had over 5000 gold by the end of the game. I've learnt an extra trick too, when the last attack wave come through, sell off your towers as soon as the last enemies clear of it, you can make back a load of cash and inctrease your people numbers fo the next round.
I agree with fire, it's the best thing ever for land monsters, if you can place a high power fire at the start of the level it can take out the first 4 or 5 waves before you even need any other towers. the hard level still seems impossible though, as you get attacked by a large monster which you can't kill and it just kills all your people, I can't see how you're meant to beat it, but given the addictive nature of this game I'm sure I'll find a way. I feel a youtube review of this game might be needed some point soon. I've had 20,000 views on my 2D programming tutorials now so I'm able to give some exposure to good blitz games.

Hehe, nice one :o) Yeah, i forgot to mention selling your towers. Overall i think it's the most fun i've had with a blitz game.
