That's pretty much useless information since "any version of Flash" is probably not what you want. I've read that Sun is making a lot of efforts to re-establish Java.

Making a lot of effort doesn't mean it's actually going anywhere. Microsoft has been making a lot of effort to get people to install Silverlight (numerous nag-screens to install it when you browse microsoft.com, for example) but in general people appear to be avoiding it like the plague.
Anyway, the bottom line with things like Java is that most computers don't come with it, and people don't bother / avoid to install it until something they really want or need requires it to be installed.
Same with things like the .net framework -- until someone has an application that requires a specific version, few people rush out and install 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 "just in case" they need it at some point.
Yes, and I also find installing the Flash plugin quite easy. Today, I needed to update the Flash Player for some online game, and it was just a matter of a few clicks.

I haven't studied them in detail, but they seem to indicate that Java coverage is actually quite good. No 99%, but still ..
