I had recently posted a question about maxgui (in that section of the forum) and if there was any compatability with blitzplus, because I was confused about The "blitzplus users who own blitzmax" thing. I noticed that they quickly changed the name of that forum to blitzmax gui to make it more clear as to its use-ablility.
Now, I like that. I have worked as a freelance computer technician since the days of full height (8 inch full height) disk drives and I have to say that in general I have been appalled by how dishonest and lazy this industry is to its responsibility of understanding end user needs.
I have registered compilers in the past only for the company to discontinue it and come out with a new different version, having changed many aspects of the language and the new version given away for free. As if it didn't matter that people liked the product enough to buy it. I like that it seems to matter to this company that we pay for its product. Since I registered, they have released many updates, and I hope they continue to support this product that I payed for with money, which doesn't grow from trees.
I know that many people don't see the need for a 2d exclusive language, but I like blitzplus and love 2d games which are like an oasis to me.
Thanks blitz people for continuing this and keeping it alive.
