Old Amiga stuff
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Old Amiga stuff
What can I do with it? I've got Blitz Basic 2, a bunch of boxed retail games and a sound sampler. Does anyone collect this stuff any more?
[EDIT]Added photo for interests sake:
You can either:
Keep it.
Bin it.
or Ebay it for ~£30-40 (assuming you have an Amiga to go with it, if not I'd stick it on for £0.99).
Darkheart
I also have loads of old PD disks with demos on.

What games?
Donate it to a museum?
What games?
Mortal Kombat
Alien Breed
Alien Breed Tower Assault (A1200)
Cannon Fodder
Simon the Sorcerer
Frontier (Elite II)
Wing Commander
Project-X
Bionic Commando
F/A-18 Interceptor
War has never been so much fun... I love this game :D
I have a bunch of stuff too (including a boxed a1200) and old games (off the top of my head: colonization, frontier, knightmare, trolls, that stealth bomber game (f19?), zork3) that I need to stick on ebay as a job lot, but happy to sell bits individually if anyone here if interested?
Im after an a1200, but im looking for original blue/white packaging and in mint condition.
It's the original blue/white packaging, but is somewhat damaged as a result of being used to cart it back and forth to uni for 4 years. The a1200 itself is fully functional, but I would not call it mint. (e.g. the HDD I had in there back in the day meant that I had to remove some of the metal casing inside to get it to fit).
Accelerators are most in demand, especially the higher end ones. If you have a PPC card you can get quite a bit on eBay.
You can still get new old-stock A1200s as far as I know, so if you have a bog standard one don't expect much for it.
I think i have the 68030+8MB RAM expansion, but that probably doesn't really compare to other options out there...

I bought one old-stock A1200 2 years ago in the Netherlands with a 230mb 2.5"hd and bought 4Mb Fast ram. Can't remember the exact price but it was between 200-300 Euro's back then.
So probably you can get them somewhere if you search the internet.
Just thrown out 40 PD disks...
how much are you selling them all?
I was thinking that the hassle of posting them will probably cost more than the value of the goods...
I've got a shoebox full of Amiga PD disks. I tried starting my own PD library around 1994, but then the damn internet took off and so did Aminet on CD rom.

Precisely why I hadn't bothered actually putting them on ebay. I think I'd have to go collection only - or buyer to arrange delivery.
Yeah exactly but that would put a lot of people off too I guess.
Yup. And of course I am loathe to just bin it all, instead of clogging up the study...
Exactly, so I get stuck in a horrible limbo...
Hello.
Keep it all. Forever. One day it will all become useful again.
I think that's the logic that works in my mind, though I'm not sure it should be called logic.
Hoard, hoard, collect, keep and hoard some more. It's what attics were made for. I suspect at some point in the future I might successfully destroy the world through the creation of a black hole due to the implosion of all matter in my loft.
Goodbye.
@SoggyP: You know what I found on one disk? Larn. I nearly took a photo of it for you.
Simon the Sorcerer!
The only game my Wife would ever play!
Anyone thought of converting this to B3d?
>Grey<
You list 10 games, but there seems to be more in the picture?!
There also seems to be other stuff in the picture... A P3 CPU etc...
>Mortal Kombat
>Alien Breed
>Alien Breed Tower Assault (A1200)
>Cannon Fodder
>Simon the Sorcerer
>Frontier (Elite II)
>Wing Commander
>Project-X
>Bionic Commando
>F/A-18 Interceptor
Does the F/A-18 interceptor have the codewheel and booklet?

I predict my blackhole will engulf our slice of the universe first... either that or all the stuff in the loft will come crashingh through to my 1st floor.... Right off to do battle with networking my Amiga to my
PC (;-)

Yeah I had some other old stuff stored in the same box. That was my P3 800, a classic CPU, and that Joystick I used to play XWing and Tie Figher - ah good days. there's also 4 disk boxes of Amiga stuff, I've just thrown out two.
Does the F/A-18 interceptor have the codewheel and booklet?
Yeah it does. You don't see code wheels any more do you?

The last time I saw it was in the Amiga version of Premier Manager
I like the wooden box. Does it have a lid?
Did you get rid of the games?

Sure does, it's flapped open in the pic. Had all that stuff in it for years.
Did you get rid of the games?
No, I stored them all in the attic in the end. Got rid of loads of disks, the handy scanner the PIII box, CD-ROM Drives, and I think I threw out the joystick too, can't remember.
