Royalty free music for games?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Royalty free music for games?

Is there a site for free/royalty free music that can be used in games? I need music for my games, but I don't know where to begin. Right now I'm looking for some techno music for hack3r (think 8-Bit Operators).
I imagine there must be some site for this, like iStockPhoto but for music.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

This is exactly what I'm looking for!!!
Thanks!!!!!

What I used to do is go around all the sites musicians post their work on, find a song I liked and asked the artist if I could use it in exchange for putting a splash screen on at game load. Most amateur musicians love the idea of their stuff being in a game, they're proud of it, they want to give you the music because they can tell their mates they are in a computer game !

Once you've found a good musician you can start building a relationship with them and get bespoke works out of them, and the suckers still do it for free :D.

When you're making a game and you want something for nothing, never lose sight of the fact that you're doing something that other people aspire to :)

I'm doing a 1940s fighter game and I'm after some free (this is going to be a freeware game) military music... anyone know where I can get some?

And heres a link to another free royalty free music (just put Kevin in your credits):
