From what I just Googled, it seems to be some sort of programmable micro controler.

I can't imagine how anybody could possibly not know what you're talking about after experiencing the complete worthwhileness of the original post.

I always see projects using them, but never got one myself.. Not enough time for electronics.. (Runs back to piezoelectric transducer testing - electric violin!)

sry guys didnt mean to make a useless post. its basically just a microcontroller on a curcuit board that can be programmed. its pretty good for beginners because of its simpleness and ease of use. im just excited because its my first step into programming things that arent just on the computer.

Sounds interesting. Done anything funky with it yet?

I must get into this robotics stuff one of these days. It sounds like a lot of fun.

I'm realllly surprised hardly any of you know about the Arduino.. this being a programming forum and all.
