read PDF meta data? ... author, title,...

Hello!

What is the best way to get the meta-data (like author, title,..) out of a PDF file in MaxGui ?
Is there a module that supports this function ?

There's almost definitely not a module to do this for you, but if you don't mind writing a little file reader yourself, wotsit.org is good for file formats.

edit: turns out those links don't work, but you can get the reference from adobe's site. It's very long and technical though, so good luck with it.
