Very cheap Wii... oh, wait...

In town today and saw these being sold in a cheapo budget store for about £30, reduced from £50, apparently:

My eye's nearly popped out on stalks. I can understand how such obvious ripoffs get sold in far eastern countries etc. but was a tad surprised to see such an item on sale in the highstreet in the UK. Bit of a cheek, eh?

Those can be quite fun sometimes though, if you get the ones that are really cheap. That way when you're bored with them or they break it was a good couple hours of fun for not a whole lot.

aye i have one but i dont have a tv with the inputs so its kinda duff ;) feels like it would break apart in seconds mind you

but seeing as people can make nockoff nes with that many games why cant nintendo just make a toaster or famicom with large cunks of their back catalogue at a fairly decent price or make one that uses SD cards and let us buy nes/snes roms from them dirt cheap
id buy em (even if there were 'free' roms to be found by just sneezing at google)

guy i worked with got a snes floppy copy thingie and just rented snes games and 4 1.44mb floppies later he could send it back

3rd generation gaming? So about the equivalent of a NES? For 30 quid? Sounds a bit expensive really.

Actually I think on the website it said it was like 16 bit graphics, so more like Sega Genesis/SNES type stuff... but yeah I agree it is really overpriced, especially considering there probably are not many games that will be made for it.

Now, if someone did make a system with knockoffs of old NES games (and a lot of them) and sold it for a bit cheaper, I think it could be a success. Kinda something like Ginger Tea was explaining. Like a million and one thing but higher quality with more features.

I like the idea of going backwards graphics wise to reduce prices. I play my Sega Genesis more than any other system because the games are such high quality.
