So I'm in Seattle right now...
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/So I'm in Seattle right now...
Just flew over from London Heathrow, man that 10 hour flight is a killer. Watched 3 super hero movies...and played Castlevania on the DS (great game).
Anyway I'm here to visit the new Big Fish Games offices (they moved to bigger ones recently) and then to go up to the Canadian border tomorrow to get my work permit. Wish me luck! Hopefully it will all go to plan and then I'll fly back tomorrow night and can finalise the arrangements to move my family to Vancouver.
I'll also get to meet the designer and lead artist for my current game again (met them in June for the first time). Also I'll hopefully get a sneak peak at some new hot games...
Just whatever you do.. avoid the us dollar!
i think thats going to be hard unless seattle use beer mats as currency ;)
speaking of which i saw
this iAXE usb guitar ages ago and sent a text to the idiot saying i was thinking of getting one cos its only 100 beer tokens
but you dont drink beer came his reply
thats ok i dont play the guitar either :))
MS HQ is in Redmond - I suggest you take a visit - say "puki" sent you. I cannot guarantee that you will meet "Billy" but you will certainly meet security.
The flight from Atlanta to Incheon Airport (Korea) is 16 hours bro... I've done it 3 times and have to do it prolly 3 more times.
Anyways, glad to hear everything is going well man. Your hard work has paid off big time. Enjoy the success!!!
Best of luck man.
Yeah, I got my Canadian work permit, good for three years! Also I got a free copy of BFG's first DS game: Millionheir. It's a hidden object game. Been discussing ideas for a new game that I'll start in Vancouver in about a month.
Hey on the plane on the way over I sat next to an Indie developer who has a made a sound-only game (no graphics) called "dark room sex". Apparently you plug the Wii controller into the PC via bluetooth and then use it to play this weird (and rude sounding) game haha.
I bet Big Fish have a pile of media sitting on a fat hard-drive.
I'd consider buying it, if you can accidentally forgot you picked it up and went home with it.

What do you think BFG are going to think if they see this?
Stop posting stupid crap, and grow up by about two decades.
I most certainly will not.
puki: the media is not 3D in the most part so perhaps of no use to your masterplan.
Maybe you should try for a job at Valve?

Welcome to Canuckistan! Don't forget to drop by Montreal! ;P
Don't forget to continuously refer to the country as Canadia. They love that over there.

@Grey: Anyway... new start(?), new life. Good luck!

Well Montreal's a tad far away from Vancouver, but we may well visit one day.

Well it's kinda a new start except I'm still making games, so that will remain the same.
Big move. Big milestone. Congratulations, Grey.
Well done Grey, all the best.
