I'm posting this message on my iPhone. The amazing part is that it's controlling one of my PC's over the 3G network. So technically I'm posting it from my PC through my iPhone. Most amazing of all this iPhone remote desktop app is fast enough to control a 3D game. I just played Aerial Antics on my iPhone at a speed comperable to what I experienced Doom 3 at my first time out. Slow but playable if just barely.

Sure seems like an expensive way to post on the forum...
The problem with most small devices is that the screen is so much smaller on the RDP and desktops have such big resolutions now which makes it very tough to use them effectively.

Yeah, iPhone res is what, 480x320? HTC have the crowning glory phones, boasting 640x480 res. Nice screens, but getting near the limits of what my eyes can manage!
It's a cinch to slide around the PC desktop. The app supports the same momentum as the phone itself. It's just like having a tochpad mouse, actually better due to the momentum and the pinch and stretch zoom. It supports resolutions up to 3200 wide.
so, if you like spectrum 48k emulators you could run it at home and play it from your iphone on the go?
Yes, game controls aren't too great. If you can use a mouse then it's all good.
Did Ye Olde Speccy ever get a mouse?

You can use keyboard input, but it isn't great for fast real time stuff.
