Gimp and Wacom Tablet Crashes

Anyone else have the problem of Gimp crashing instantly on startup when using a Wacom Tablet? (I`m using an Intuos 2 on XP Home)

First time I run the program it crashes but the second time it works fine. I`m using the latest Wacom drivers and the latest Gimp although the previous version did the same too. I have also tried older drivers and the problem remains. Nothing major just a little annoying.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I have a Wacom bamboo tablet and my problems using it with the Gimp were solved by upgrading one of the dll's

Here's the link. Just place it in the Gimp's bin folder and see if it works.

Needless to say, backup the original file in case it doesn't work.


EDIT: With the previous version of the Gimp I also had to update this addiitonal dll here but it's not necessary with the current version.

But you have a different tablet so give it a try as well if the first one doesn't solve the problem.
