For some reason I can no longer drag separators in the toolbar, even when I unlock it. More importantly, I can no longer drag links to the toolbar to create buttons - I just get the 'not allowed' icon when trying to drop a link onto the toolbar. This happens even when the toolbar has been unlocked.
Any ideas how I can fix this? On win98SE, btw.
Couldn't find anything useful on Google.
(Please no comments about how lame using IE and/or win98 is. Thanks)
The only place I can drag links in IE6 is onto the links toolbar. The only separators I can drag are the toolbar handles on the left edge. Is this what you mean?
It might be a spyware program running, to stop you from disabling it's toolbar add in.
OMG, I've been a numpty. I didn't even have my links toolbar turned on. I can indeed drag links to it (go figure).
After an OS re-install the Links bar was turned off and I was surprised to find I couldn't put link buttons next to the main toolbar buttons. I could have sworn thats where I hade them before. I think I'm losing it. :/
Thanks very much Perturbatio!
@Ross: I did suspect something similar after there was some mention of this during a Google search. I must have just got it into my head something was wrong. :P
However, I am still having trouble moving links around in the Favorites menu. Some just refuse to be moved.
Nevermind. That's working poperly now too, after a reboot.
