EA QA better than ever

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/EA QA better than ever

In a follow up to puki's thread...

A mate of mine just bought Warhammer Online and they shipped it without the patcher exe (well, with a broken exe that doesn't run/isn't a valid Win exe), which is required to run after installation. Seems to affect the Aussie disc release and some other countries:

There have been occasions whereby people have tried to reassure me about EA products in the past 'oh, that's an easy bug to miss; maybe the QA team didn't realise it wan an error; wasn't time to patch before release'. This confirms my theory that EA doesn't have a QA department. =]

In my experience, there are very few bugs that QA departments don't know about when a game is released. Unfortunately, they can only document bugs - they aren't responsible with fixing them, and the decision to ignore problems is out of their hands too.

That's fine, but clearly no one bothered to test the package they mastered and shipped to several diff countries.

There is no way to start this game because the necessary exe is not provided (or is corrupt)!

Probably find they were given debug exe's or ran the game locally and never got to play a final retail disk version.

Oh Jesus.... don't let Plash see this.
