CAD software for web design

Hey, I've been traditionaly designing websites with the magical combination of pencil, paper, and brain.

However, I've recently been using a school CAD program for architecture, and I see great use for quickly spitting out web designs that come to my head. But the program isn't free, and its school property, and its way over complicated, with 3d models and stuff.

That brings me to my question, can you recommend a good freeware CAD program for 2d design ?

It needs to support geometry like arcs, lines, circles, and rectangles, it needs to support text, and lastly it needs to be grid based and printable.

Google is bringing some interesting programs up, but i'm interested to see what ones you guys know of.

Its fine for small-medium scale engineering needs.

Not sure why you would need a cad package for web design though :/

I would have thought a vector graphics program like "Inkscape" (a coreldraw-like app, free too) would suit the task better:

+1 for Inkscape, that is the tool for the job, or if you're rich, Adobe Illustrator.

Inkscape seems to have what i'm after, except one important thing: snap to grid, I'm pretty sure it has it, but I can't find the option

alright, stupid me, I missed a setting.
