Krita paiting program

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Krita paiting program

Has anyone painted with Krita?, i tried it a few weeks ago and i couldt work with it, it seems pretty impressive though, i could use it as my main software to paint if it worked. I use photoshop elements 3 to paint, and artrage too, and artweaver.

For those who dont know about it:

For those who work with it, how good is it?, can you show things you have done with it?.

It seemed alright from what i played with it.

Initial opinions:
Goods:
-Single window interface

Bads:
-You need to 'polute' your system with KDE stuff to run it
-Im used to gimp now.

I've used it a litte, but still prefer GIMP. Krita does have some things GIMP does not, like CMYK support, and they are working on an interesting brush engine and natural media tools. The interface is okay too. It will be interesting to see where it goes in the future.

Well, personally i prefer photoshop elements over gimp in regards to paint, i use both for different things, but Krita has me impressed with its painting capabilites, i saw this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyLPZDVdQiQ that shows how color mixing works on Krita, very impressive.
