So if not for GTA, she wouldn't have thought to help her family get out of the car?

Seems like a stretch to me.

Let's hope she'll not start beating up prostitutes to get money, like in GTA.

Oops, maybe I said too much there. ;)

So a 11-year old, a person too young for the game's intended audience, made a decision based on a game that doesn't reflect real-world physics.....

She saw on there that when a car rolls over, it can blow up.

Aren't the odds of that fairly low? I know in GTA every simple car bloody did it and I always figured it was just a gameplay mechanic to discourage flipping cars, although I can understand cracked fuel-lines perhaps causing some destruction.

Aaah yes, the famous "A-Team Postulate".

Cars rarely blow up in real life.

She was really scared and didn't know what to do. If she hadn't thought her life (and that of her family) was in any immediate danger, she might have just panicked like every normal 11 year old in a very traumatic situation. However unlike what Jack Thompson and his cronies will tell you she was able to tell the difference between video games and real life. She knew that in real life, if your vehicle gets engulfed in a fireball, it's not just 8 hours and $100 trip to the hospital (where they confiscate all your weapons) before you're as good as new. so Bravo to the littlest hero!

Except in The A Team, people always managed to make it out of said cars before they blew up. Not so much in GTA.

Sure, and prostitutes rarely carry any money on them in real life too. However a car doesn't really have to blow up for you to be in serious trouble from a car crash.

Great parenting -- isn't GTA rated "M" in the first place?

M for minor.

omg this is crap..

ppl her age shouldnt play that game ne way...

Sure. However great parenting is not about mindlessly doing what some special interest group tells you to. Great parenting is about making an informed choice about what you chose to subject your children to. In this case, the girls parents obviously decided the girl was mature enough to play a video game, that ultimately ended up saving lives. How is that bad parenting?

That's not for you to determine. Maybe she's just more responsible of her age than your kids?

well.... girls do mature faster and are statistically less likely to go on a car jacking rampage.

just my 2ps worth.

Yeah thats true...

I dont got kids... and i dont say that video games influence ppl.. trust me.. i play GTA some.. but if I had kids that were young... i wouldnt give them GTA cuz look at her.. the fact that she thinks that some stupid game helped her save someone.. is a sign of obsession.. idk... im really tired.. and idk if im thinkin rite.. and i dont wanna start arguments and have people hate me.. but... something is very stupid about that situation..
