Google Chrome - Search Blitz Forum

I've altered the forum search submit method from post to get, so now you can use Google Chrome to search the forum.

To do so:

1. Click the spanner button.
2. Click Options.
3. Click Manage.
4. Click Add.
5. Type in the following:

Name: blitzbasic.com - Search Forum
keyword: bbforum
URL: http://www.blitzbasic.com/Community/_search.php?terms=%s

Now you just have to type 'bbforum' in the Chrome URL bar, followed by your search term for a quick and easy search.

Nicely done! Now, if you could somehow make the Google developers speed up the Mac development of Chrome I would be a happy camper! ;)

Nice Simon. Did you fix the 'BlitzMax pages showing as "Google Chrome" in window tab' issue I mentioned in the Google Chrome thread? It seems to be working now

Wow, you can drag and drop the tabs from one window to another or even drag them 'out' of their window and it creates a new one, so you can propperly organize documents as you navigate. That's great :D

Jim, are you logged into the actual www.blitzbasic.com domain, or one of the others, eg. blitzbasic.com, www.blitzmax.com ? Modify the URL shown in Si's post to match if it's different.

That's a bit of a nightmare situation. It would be better if the other domains did a redirect to http://blitzbasic.com/ rather than using domain pointers, or whatever the hell they use now.

On the Mac, Omniweb has always done that and Safari has since version 3 too.
