Well, played thru 1st level of Warhammer 40000, yeah its okay - but @ my age I am thininking, yeah its okay & I can see how you've done it, another (very well implemented) iteration of C & C. Dtracts from the gameplay. It's maybe akin to learning to play a song you love on a musical instrument, by the time you get there you are sick of it.

So, does Warhammer 40000 deserve its accolades, do I need to accept I'm getting too long in the tooth for this PC Gameplay?

Dawn of War? Hell yeah! To liken it to C&C is an insult to the guys at Relic. Dawn of War and Company of Heroes are much better games than C&C ever will be.

I don't know which version you're playing, as the game now has 2 stand-alone expansions (Dark Crusade and Soulstorm). But I got the Original Dawn of War game way back when, and I keep coming back to it, even after all this time.

Dawn of War and Company of Heroes are, until Dawn of War II is release some time next year, the hands down best games the RTS genre has to offer.

I find myself these days, only able to get into games like oblivion, RPG, that gives you something interesting and varied. I've went off driving games, fighting game, flying games, because you are limited to doing just that.

I might check out Dawn of war, if you say that it's alot better than C&C.
