Spored myself

Couldn't help myself - have pre-ordered for next Friday.

I'm next in line!

I haven't preordered, but I'll definitely be buying. Hope it's as fun as everyone says it is :)

Bought the Creature Creator and pre-ordered it. :)

The Creature Creator is a lot of fun to play with, so I'm looking forward to the game itself.

looks really interesting, though I'm probably too cheap to buy it...

I pre-ordered it ages ago. I'm thinking it'll arrive around the 9th or 10th, so I've ordered some new parts for my PC, and taken a month off work. Yeah.

I pre-ordered this with amazon in May 2006!!!
Please, no more delays.

Ooooh, it's time for it already? I will buy it, but not yet.

Be too bad if you finish it in a day then ;-)

Hahah, true. It needs to last me at least until Fallout 3 arrives (and by arrives, I don't mean "in the mail" so much as "after Bethesda [or their community] finally manages to fix all the stuff that doesn't work").

I won't buy it yet, EA has some great games, but most of the time support is really bad when needed. I also noticed lot's of games are still very buggy from them lately.

I didn't buy C&C3 Wrath of Kane from them yetyet because of the very bad comments about it. One buggy example.

The game looks good and the creature creator was fun for 10 mins and easy to use but I hope de gameplay is good as well. I just wait a bit and see what happens.

I hear that, ive preordered Fallout 3. Its supposed to have over 10,000 endings :). Got Fallout 1, 2 and tactics.

Arriving tomorrow apparently (New Zealand).

First few reviews are saying it's excellent (unsurprisingly, I guesss!).

Regards Fallout3, I love big sandbox games but I've been avoiding all the hype around this one - you can just tell there's going to be an explosion of outraged FO nerd fans regardless of the game being good.

Portal 2 is my only anticipation right now ;)

The cake is a lie, Cave Johnson might not be.

I just grabbed a copy for myself and my brother. (the last two on the shelf) Apparently here in Australia, and according to the young man behind the counter, it's flying off the shelves.

Obviously I can't wait to get home from work :D

Portal 2? That would be incredible.

I played an hour (or was it more?) of Spore, and all I can say is... I love the game, and I haven't done much yet. It's just brilliant fun.

That'll be the Spore: Helium Edition then.

So I guess PC gaming is alive then?

I agree!
Installed and played it today. It's beyond expectations!

lol, crazy farcry developers are being proven wrong

Curse these region-biased releases. I have until September 7 to read you folks saying how great / terrible it is :(

Quite hopeful, though. Sounds like the 5 distinct games thing is indeed the case, but Spore is more about being a creative toy anyway. (Like The Sims, really, which received the same type of negatives!)

Nah, it just means the box is a winged spore create in disguise.

Anyway, the game is still great fun. There are a few issues, like the lack of controls for many actions, and the odd gameplay quirk, but they're minor quibbles. The game has a great deal of charm, and it sucks you right in.

my friend is complaining that the first stage is too short, and that the later stages are not as fun as the first stage where you are in some sort of primodial soup etc. When you actually start to manage civilization and get ufo it becomes boring. Anyone else feels like that?

I think they should make it possible to stay in the first stage as long as one likes and not force one to go to land

That's the only real problem with games nowadays. Someone has to wait longer or gets it before someone else, or can't even legally get the game in their country.

You can play every area on its own if you want.

I pre-ordered this on 11th May 2006 from Amazon.
They still haven't shipped it, so I cancelled and bought it off the shelf.
