Shareware Submission Sites
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Shareware Submission Sites If you're going to do them yourself, pick a dozen or so of the biggest and do those. CNet, Tucows, Brothersoft and Sofotex are four that spring to mind.

I have no idea if his service is good, so take this only as information, not as a recommendation. He doesn't do as many sites as I used to when I ran a service, but he claims to do it all by hand. I couldn't possibly have done that many by hand for $30, but maybe he knows something I don't know.

Google things yourself relevant to your software and get try to get your software on the 10 top returned links. As far as software sites go, yah...spend your time on perhaps the top 3 and that's it.
