My No 1 game now is an indie title made in Blitz3D

Well, this is by no means a top 5/10 whatever of games, but I popped into a gamin retail outlet in the Semi-united kingdom (well governments been messing about in the UK creating mini parliaments all over the shop - it was bad enough with one of them in Londonshire - I'm Scottish by the way!)

Back on thread, Britain is suppossedly tipping towards a minor recession - not so in the gaming retail industry. GAME apparently made 40 percent improvement on sales off late... so, coding is a good trade these days - can't say the same for building at the mo!

So, in the best tradition of the Fast Show (British comedy show), the games I have been mainly playing this week is:

Tank Universal
Age of Mythology (wel, didn't actually play it, got the titans expansion pack for my son today and he's enjoying it)
Little bit of multiplayer Halo 2
Super Smash Bros (Wii)

Don't get much time for games these days, but I'm happy that the majority of my 10 hours or so playing games this week has been in something made in B3D.

I've been playing Zelda Twilight Princess on Wii with my boys. It's taking ages but is good fun. When they are in bed I'm replaying Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles on Wii to get star points to upgrade my guns.

Oh and I bought my boys Lego Indy for Wii and played a bit of it. Great game, I think I prefer it to the star wars one.

Played a few Casual games as research recently but not many. Might do one tonight. Also should really get back to Avernum 5 (a fantastic Indie RPG) but last time I played it I was stuck at a really hard place and may have to reload a previous save...

My daughter just turned seven and bought indy lego for the Wii with some of her birthday money, it's been played a lot whilst I've been at work....

I got Warhammer for the Pc today, no time to play it until next wekend though, we're of to scotland early tomorrow for a few days (;-)

I like SSBB on the wii, I love the zelda games, for the pure puzzle fact. Though they seem to be getting easyer, maybe I'm just getting older.

The vidgame industry apparently does quite well out of recessions but that figure only really tells you that selling 2nd hand games is a good trade. ;)

Just played Jewel Match 2 as I'm always interested in Match-3s. It's OK, got lots of features but could do with more polish.

I can easily believe GAME are raking it in - I went in to the one in durham last week and they were selling used copies of some games for more than brand new ones!

So-called AAA games don't particularly do a lot for me. The last full price PC game I bought was either Settlers 3 or Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. Both must be cracking on for ten years ago.

Civilization 4 is keeping me occupied until Spore arrives.

Blitz3D is truly an amazing product. It beats many modern 3D game engines with the ability to run on all graphics cards, and with the easiest programming language.

been playing a lot of halo3 and impossible creatures and anything age of empires based.

had a go at a demo of impossible creaturews years ago, got some warhammer RPG to install next(;-)
