Pandora - Maybe bmax could be ported.

I know there was a thread (I think Simon posted it) to port bmax to an ARM processor, so maybe this device can be added to that list. Also, this device will use a form of Linux as an OS.

Notice there is no company address or anything - which makes you wonder about the viability of it.

It's not being made by a company per se. That may or may not be a cause for concern for some people, but the 'wait and see' approach is a valid option for those worried about it.

The GP32x forum (listed above) is the more comprehensive source of information (rather than the official site), as the Pandora has been developed by people of the community of the GP32 and GP2X.

I have a GP2X. If the Pandora is as much cool as the GP2X is (with better tech), I'll be saving up for one.

Don't worry. The device is developed by respected members of GP2X community.

I have GP2X and I might buy this after getting my Openmoko Freerunner (in few days hopefully) and Eee Pc. Maybe next year.

For a minute there I thought this thread was about the old classic Amiga game named Pandora. I would love to see a remake of that. But anyway...

It would be cool if OpenPandora were a success and BResearch made some sort of deal to have 'BMax Pandora Edition' pre installed on every machine so every owner can have a dabble in writing fun little games for it.

I don't know if Max simply going ARM will make it work on the Pandora.. either way I would imagine Pandora would have to be released and on the market for it to really even be feasible.

I liked coding for my GP2X, so I'd probably like to mess with this as well. But then coding for the iPod is pretty fun too, and more interesting on the input side.

Bah, I hate it when all the fun stuff is expensive or hard to get, and this one is both.
