Not exactly old enough to be a 'classic', but I've yet to have an arcade machine get me as riled up as much as Point Blank did.

Most of my quarters probably went into Tetris, Xybots, and Mr. Do though, since those were the machines I had the easiest access to growing up. I feel sad that the new generations are not going to get the "old arcade" experience. I mean the early days, not the current crop of arcades, long before any 3d stuff was available.

There was one arcade game, that I only found in Cornwall, and was a quasi-3D arcade game (a special screen with everything back projected on it) - it was like Space Invaders but with shields that could be activated around cities.

Cant remember what it was called though.

How could I forget Ghosts n' Goblins?!

I became an expert on "Battlezone" at the Arcades. Won several competitions. I could play it for what seemed like forever. ;) The trick was the "go backwards and twist" maneuver as the missles and other tanks fired at you. ;)
