Good tip if the Power Button on your case goes.

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Good tip if the Power Button on your case goes.

I never knew this tip, until a work friend of mine had trouble with his computer restarting at various early peroids after booting up.

I traced it down to the power button on his case being damaged, after he managed to get it to turn by taping the button half in.

Basically all you do, is:

Take out the power switch front panel connector,
Take out the reset switch connector,
Put the reset switch connector in the power switch connectors pins.
Leave the power switch connector out.

And your reset button now functions as a power button. Sorry if most of you know this, but it may help someone having this problem, and thinking it's a power supply problem. Might save you some cash.

I had something similar a long time ago, my reset 'button' was 2 wires hanging out the front of the case that I had to touch together!

Hehe, that some nice work work lou!
