IDEal for BMax?
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/IDEal for BMax?
I`ve just started to use IDEal again (with B3D) and really cannot say in words how good it is. I truly wish that there was a BMax version of it.
I wonder if the author could be persuaded to add support if people were willing to donate some money to him? After all, he has given us IDEal for free up until now. It`s well worth buying in my opinion.
I would gladly buy him a copy of BMax if he would consider it. I know that he once said that he doesn`t own a copy.
Anyone been in contact with him lately? He seems to have vanished without a trace... If you have please could you direct him to this thread.
Jason.
Hi, Mortiis.
Andrej works (the last i know) on a new projekt managment for IDEal. BlitzMax support is not planned, simply because he dont have BlitzMax.

http://www.blitzbasic.com/Community/posts.php?topic=78037#875498I think we must face it, IDEal is the only present he gave to the community. There won't be a Bmax version, he won't even gonna update the B3D version.
But it`s so good! It would just be nice to hear his views on the subject. I would be more than happy if he just continued on the B3D version, there are still plenty of us using the product.

I think so friend, it's the best ide for b3d ever IMO. It totally changed my coding speed and it has very nice features yet it's so compact and small.
For the first version of IDEal he has worked more than 1 year (and nobody knows it). After this he cames out with this "bomb" of software in VB6. Maybee in 9 months he will launch a "second" bomb? I will also spend money for Blitzmax support. This would be one of the best days in my live if i can "buy" this soft..simply because i really love it. I have "played" with IDEal more than with a game ever.
Ok, about blitzmax. I dont think that he can make (onthefly) a Mac or Linux version, but .... for this we have the com. edition. :)
bye
I would just like to hear from him, he seemed to make updates at an alarming rate and then it all stopped and he dissapeared.
BTW Mortis, your Indie Diary doesn`t appear to be working and I always like to read your latest updates :)
Jason.
Hey thank you :) I'll be moving to a new domain name and host soon. I want to change the general look of the blog too.
Cool, something to look forward too :)

Slightly off topic but,
Mortiis, in IDEal if you have the Sprite Candy manual open in your project and then you shutdown the program it doesn`t seem to get remembered as being opened the next time you start up your project.
For example all other files are opened correctly but not the manual. Do you know of a way to keep the manual displayed after you restart the program?
I only ask as I remember you saying that you use Sprite Candy with IDEal.
Jason.
Hmm, I don't think you can QuickSilva. You can always rename Blitz3D help file "index.htm" and put your sprite candy manual there. When you are done, rename the blitz3d manual to index again. Command reference will work in IDEal as it has a different button so there wont be any problems.
Thanks, that seems like the best option.
Jason.
I edited the defauilt index.htm of the Blitz3D command reference to include a link to the Sprite Candy manual down the bottom. Perhaps that's an option for you.
Good idea. Thanks :)
Jason.
