Personally i will cut off his fingers in order to disable him to use computer...ever..

Uhg, why only 5 years...spam is like vandalism, unless you're cooking on it.

..he earned 700 000US$ out of smap man...geezz

Another notorious spammer, Eddie Davidson, escaped from his prison camp in Colorado on Sunday, authorities said Tuesday.
So I guess we won't see a decline in spam, on the whole. ;)

I think he was arrested for fraud more than spam...shame ;)

Spam king in prison

GOOD!
I hope he proverbially "Drops The Soap".

Four years ought to teach him a lesson. I think four years is plenty. Have you ever done a year in prison? A day in prison is tough, never mind four years. Edit: and no I haven't been in prison but I've heard stories.

I thought Spam King was like Burger King, but for people who are skint.

That's the first thing which popped up in google images after writing "Spam King" :)

And while the real spam king did like the Monty Python sketch, he didn't appreciate that the internet phenomena was named after his product... I guess notoriety is a double-edged weapon!

Paying for it should be (is it?) illegal, and the same laws that the spammers themselves must pay should be brought upon the people who pay for it, knowing exactly what it is. It's funding illegal activity..lol

Eddie Davison did indeed escape prison the other day, and just did a horrific murder/suicide where he killed his wife, 1 of his kids, wounded another in the neck and left a baby behind, and finished himself off.

Just posting this, so no-one makes light of his escape, and then finds this out..... It's easy to crack jokes about this stuff, Look at the commentary on the Reiser FS guy, who ended up leading police to his wifes body in exchange for lighter sentencing.

I know no-one above knew about the murder/suicide when they made the flippant comments, but as society is it bad that we have become so irreverant about violent crime?

It reminds me of the GTA debate, I own 3 GTA games and liked them all (especially GTA VC and GTA4), however I only ever play them when my 3 year old son is in bed, and I won't let my 12 year old neighbour borrow it, no matter how often he asks.

I find it easy to draw a line between video game violence and real life, Including the black humour that GTA is full of, which I find hilarious.

Having the same applied to real life incidents for some reason creeps me out (especially when kids are involved).

Do others find this? I'm not judging, I'm just interested.

Do others find this? You mean is there anyone on this forum that is not retarded enough to not have basic logic and control over themselves? I hope everyone here can say yes.

It really is possible if you lack enough logic to become even more childish than a child and become so selfishly afraid (aka angry) that you do unbelievable acts. These people meet the true definition of Cowards. The same kind of people who rape / molest women and children.

It all boils down to psychological development problems; people who just don't grow up; chemical imbalances. Not much anyone can do without knowing before the fact.

Yet I do find GTA to be one of the best/fun games around....Running over pedestrians, capping some thugs, fighting police, but you wouldn't even catch me harming a rodent intentionally, let alone people irl. I don't truly understand how people can do it...and I think if anyone does, they have the capability to do the same thing.

You can do what you want in fantasy land but keep your sick fun there.

Note: I edited this post for greater clarity.

I guess this is an indicator of the type of people who get involved in sending spam (and the type of person we involve ourselves with if we click any of those spam links).

I just got an email that seemed a bit similar to what the first spammer mentioned was involved in. It included an e-gold account ID the nitwit wanted me to send money to. Suffice it to say that e-gold just got an abuse notification message which included the source code of that email.

But then e-gold are in legal strife themselves at the moment for turning a blind eye to this sort of thing: http://www.thestandard.com/news/2008/07/22/internet-currency-firm-pleads-guilty-money-laundering

Roger just mentioned Reiser... do you know what you just did? :)

Having the same applied to real life incidents for some reason creeps me out (especially when kids are involved).

You see, I wrote the last comment on purpose. In that case it took fun of a logical fallacy of a statement (or at least I hope), rather than on the people involved, which is not as bad. The kind of comments you mention however are often just used to attract attention when made on thought, and moreso when did on instinct even if on a subconscious level, but you can't really tell from some sparse comments in a discussion board. I agree that in the latter case it can show a degree of mental disorder (which is anyway widespread among the teens and often connected to social issues and bad parenting).

Anyway, while outside of this context black humour would show a lack of sensibility, I still consider it acceptable if just news related... reality itself is often grotesque even if you are not cynical, and it's not out of the ordinary to find the irony. That goes on a certain degree of course and does not include bad taste, hate messages, racism and the such.

I don't see how someone liking games or having a leaning towards IT has any relevance on them being a gutless scumbag.

Wow, got a bit deep in here..

Whats all that lot got to do with sending spam?

I have no idea.
