Which game have you played the most?
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Which game have you played the most?
What ONE single game have you logged the most hours in?
Mine is without doubt, Battlefield 1942. I've logged more hours in that game than I care to think about.
:)
Final Fantasy XI.
I'm about 20 days worth of hours short of having logged a full year's worth of hours on it. Kind of pathetic now that I look back on that.......but that's MMOs for you.
Team Fortress2 is slowly taking spot #2 for most played hours, which Worms Armageddon currently holds.
PC
probably startopia
its the only one that likes xp that doesnt need a new gfx card ;)
xbox probably starwars battlefront 2 mainly cos its one of the few disc's ive not put in a box out of the way
Red Alert 2 - Many many hours of LAN and Skirmish games. I've never played the actual campaign side though :p
Doom 2, had it on my hard drive since 1994 and still play it regularly.
EverQuest. I played that game for almost one year solid 24 hours a day (over 300 days played). That's accumulative btw...not me sitting there 24 hours a day...
Command and Conquer zero hour online - Best ever :)
Warcraft 3 - Frozen Throne
(Played the campaign a few times, but mostly head-to-head or single player tower defense)
Omikron: Nomad Soul(never got the popularity it deserved) and Half Life 1.
Might and Magic 2 1991-1994 - it took me that long to finish because there was a single grid square in a single dungeon in the whole map that I had not explored so simply fought/levelled up for 4 years until realised what I'd missed.
Probably one of the Total War series - Medieval I.
Diablo 1 or 2.
I can still get lost for hours in either of these. I don't know if I'd want to know how many actual hours I've spent clicking away.
Elite on the BBC, and more recently Oblivion, and to a lesser extent Witcher.
warcraft 3 no doubt though abit of diablo 2 as well.
World of Warcraft I think... two weeks ago I stopped, after 1.5 year (playtime of 90 days), now I have time for other things again like making games and keeping my kitchen a bit tidy ;).
After that probably Delta Force 2, Super Mario Kart
It was funny, I tried playing Delta Force 2 online and it still works, there were about 30 people playing, a game from 1999. I also played Half Life 2 single player, my last save games were from 2005 haha. However HL2 makes me nauseous after half an hour or so, maybe I have to get used to a different 3d engine from WoW. ;)
Gabriel Knight - The Beast Within
I'd have to say either Halo or Street Fighter 2. Both games spanned years of my life with friends via multiplayer as well as single player on multiple platforms.
Last Ninja 2, Red Storm Rising or Civilization IV.
Civilisation - particularly if you include all versions of it, but even so, civ3 would probably still come out as number 1 (never go civ4 - is it worth losing hours of my life in again?)
Probably a toss-up between Quake 3 Arena and World of Warcraft.
I still play Quake 3 most days, though. Last time I had anything to do with WOW, I bought a 3 month subscription and logged in twice.
One thing I like about Quake 3, is that I can start the game and be playing it in well under a minute. It doesn't feel the need to load entire 3D scenes as menu backdrops and generally waste my time, the way most other games do.
Sadly, another WoW player here. I've logged 24 days on my main character, and another couple of days combined on my "alts", so about 26 days in total. 26 * 24 = 624 hours.
Rappelz (MMORPG) for sure on the Tanda server - The skilling of your char and pet is very advanced in this game. I play this game for 1 year at least now and My highest char is lvl 70 and I got a few others near lvl 50 as well. There is no limit on highest level you can reach in this game... I like to go into dungeons with parties, train my pets, farm for goodies, selling and buying equipment, enchanting my gear (I love the glowing weapons), lvl up and training new skills. Sometimes it's also fun hunting other players when they aren't nice to others or to duel in Arena's.
I probably gave a year full time to Diablo II. A shameful confession ... but I enjoyed every minute of it.
Final Fantasy VII I guess. It took me at least 10 years to play it till the end. Crashes, new machines etc. and I never backuped the savegames. :/
C+C Red Alert.
(never go civ4 - is it worth losing hours of my life in again?)
Absolutely. Especially with the Warlords and Beyond The Sword Expansions.
Ultima Online
Elite on my Acorn Electron
World of WarCrack has probably had way too much time spent on it.
Probably Doom II, followed by Civilization.
And I have to confess that I am wasting too much time lately on the Mac port of Civ IV: Warlords.
Counterstrike and Day of Defeat. I lump the two together since they are HL mods - I'm also lumping the Source and original versions together. Those two account for 99%+ of my online game time.
Oh my I forgot Ultima Online! I gave 7 years of my life to UO on various server including OSI.
River Raid, on ATARI
Madden 95, the greatest video game ever made.
Delta Force Xtreme
Final Fantasy 7 (360+h)
Probably Gran Turismo 4, or San Andreas. Or MOH Frontline.
hmm, I've played MMOs, they tend to rack up lots of hours...
But recently Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii.
Tetris, Frogger, Solitaire, ...
halo 1,2,3 and starwars battlefront 1,2 for me.
Hello.
Arcade: Frogger
Amiga : Larn
PS2 : SSX (series) and more recently Guitar Hero
PC : Spider Solitaire
Goodbye.
Either Ultima 6/7/8 (although awesome, those went on and on) or one of the elder scrolls.
ive found myself playing bejeweled alot on my phone seeing as it came installed (had to buy it cos it was only a 30 second demo and you cant play ANY game in 30 seconds except the countdown conundrum ;) )
i would have much rather had the operation wolf style game that came on someone elses viewity but i dont know what its called to go looking for it :(
Hellgate.
WarCraft 3 for Windows, or TimeSplitters 2 for my gamecube.
Both are supremly awesome.
The Mighty WERDNA(Lord Of Darkness)
World of warcraft ( i dont play anymore) and Counterstrike would hit my top two.
oh yeah Gran Turismo as a series is way up there. I think I still logged more time on Halo and SFII. Another one which might actually take the cake is Orbz.
Alien vs Predator 2 - spent countless hours on multiplayer
Halo - Multiplayer mostly, logged more hours than AVP2
Team Fortress 2 - my current obsession.
Oblivion Elder Scrolls: I spent the entire weekend getting the cure for being a Vampire...
Call of Duty 4
Hmm, it'd have to be some Amiga game like Deluxe Galaga or Datastorm.
Without a doubt Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (over 200 hours)
Ultima Online (over 3000 hrs) and Age of Empires Age of Kings/Conquerors expansion.
Company of Heroes and Jagged Alliance 2.
World of Warcraft and then Planescape: Torment
Lords of midnight
OR the CIV Series
Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind
X-Com:Ufo Defence/UFO:Enemy Unknown
Probably Legend of Mir online MMORPG.
I went back recently, paid a months subscription and then found out that it wasn't a MMORPG game any more.
There are less people playing it now than vegetarians at a meat feast ^^
[EDIT]...and since other people are posting more than one
Deus Ex
System Shock 2
I would think Diablo II LOD is my most played game. I have been playing for about 2 years now, and still playing. Lately I've been using a character mod, and for 5000 gold for each job, I'm moving magical properties to the equipment I have. Plus allowing level-up skill points to be used for any character class skill. I'll see if I can't get my necromancer (which is all seem to I play) past Baal on nightmare mode this time.
Other games I played a whole lot of was Duke Nukem 3D (with the Build level editor), and a DOS game called Empire.
