Email Problem?

Hiya all,

My friends got problem of email where he cant send email and everytime he send a email and keep saying Bad Request.

Does anyone know how to fixed it please.

He could try to use google mail.

My friends know nothings about computer even if I help him to used google but he told me that he can recived email from someone but cant send email. I think it is either server problem or bandwidth problem. I dont know how to fixed the server problem really.

I have try used google like finding ISP address to try fixed the server but I dont know everythings which why It is better to ask people know how to fixed the server.

Tell him to get in touch with his ISP (or whomever is his SMTP provider).

Perhaps their SMTP is down, or his user/pass is wrong, etc...

I think he is using Outlook Express, which is the default mail system when using Windows.

He just needs to understand that he can also use google mail, which is a pure web browser based mail system. Google mail can be found at http://mail.google.com

Check out his ISP's web site: some where on it there must be something on how to setup Outlook/Outlook express (or other email clients).

If you can receive email, but not send it, its likely that:

1. SMTP server isn't configured properly.
2. Port 25 is blocked, either by a firewall, or by your ISP.

Expanding on what GfK said, "some" ISPs will block use of SMTP servers that aren't theirs.

A detailed -- and PRECISE -- error message and more information about what Mail client is being used and how it is configured would really help us to help you.
