FF XIII out on xbox360

Just been reading the E3 2008 announcements. I say good on them. I think it's cool that 360 owners get the chance to play the game.

I am though, a bit confused on how it's going to work... Unless they manage to squeeze the content into a couple of Dual layered DVD's? Saying that, i have no idea the size on disc, this game will be, but going by previous games, it'll be a fair size.

On a side note, i hate reading gaming forums. All you hear is the "fan boys" or should i say "boyzzz" ranting on about the death of sony, and "that's US won now, SONY GOT OWNZZZEDERED, PWNED!!!! LOL!"

So sad...

Maybe they'll learn how to write a final fantasy game without depending heavily on FMV, the 360 is more than capable of doing everything using the game engine and still look great. That way they can use just one DVD.

They already have it rely on FMV a lot though.
(or at least considering all the previews they've shown, where only 2% of the shown content is actual ingame graphics)

It'll probably be a 4-5 disc DVD for the 360 (with 720p FMVs or under), done in the same fashion as Lost Odyssey (which just so happened to be crammed with FMVs, making it need 4 DVDs).

At any rate, I was a little miffed that one of my reasons for having recently purchased a PS3 got knocked off, but I can see why SquareEnix is doing it, given how bloody expensive games of that scale cost these days.

I'll buy an XBox. I was waiting for this game to go out to buy a PS3.

I think that Final Fantasy XIII Versus (which looks far more interesting than Final Fantasy XIII) is still a PS3 exclusive title. I could be wrong though. Not that I care either way, of course. Final Fantasy RPGs have always been a bit flakey. I bought my PS3 for its future Shin Megami Tensei titles, and for other interesting, unconventional Japanese RPGs.

I didn't, I read the title and though, hey wow they finished that quickly! Seems you missed out "will be" ;-)

Square Enix and Microsoft? Oh....my....good! Since Enix is in there they sales every bullshit and xxx remakes on every system. I hope that XIII is better than what i have seen the last 3 years.
