Anyone holding out?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Anyone holding out?

Is anyone purposefully not showing their game? (except GA because he's under contract). I mean not showing it because there's a few clone artists around here?

Anyways...I'm guilty. I just made a video and almost posted it. But on second thought I'm gonna wait until it's practically complete.

I never show my stuff , mainly because its never for commercial use. I am working on a Multiplayer Dungeon Sever / client package atm wich is comming along pretty well aside from needed artwork. I'll post on this when I have somthing pretty to showcase .

go on Chroma post it :-)

Actually I'm working on two games now, both under NDA. Due out in maybe 3 and 6 months.

Cool, looking forward to seeing them!

I've just contacted a couple of artists from the past so I'm hoping to get the ship moving again in the release direction.

I have not made any games in several years. It has always been mostly custom made stuff for single customers for me.

Last thing was a wrapper for an old mail sending system, nothing
graphical at all, hence nothing to post here.....

Clone artists?

I've actually been curious (not because anything I make is of the caliber needed for publication) but might showing a demo of a game well before it's done make it less attractive for publishers. The only reason I ask is that many seem to ask people to sign NDAs and the like. I'm working on something now and, while it's not great, it's better than most things I've made so I don't want to jinx it by posting in the forums.

The NDAs I sign are purely because the other party doesn't want to give the competition an advantage by letting them know what game we are making. Also it works the other way in that they can't rip off my ideas.

Ahh thanks!

Or to protect identity?

..im hidding pretty much everything I did so far..I show 2-3 done levels im working so far..reason is simple..appart from few constructive critics, i got loads of flaming..for nothing..so, better keep it up under cover until see the day of light.. :)

Well,

I have to admit most of my stuff doesn't get an airing sometimes due to contractual restrictions and sometimes due to the fact they just don't look that good unless you see them in the 'flesh' as it were, animating and being used on the hardware they were meant for.

IPete2.

I've already had to kill 7 people because they found out about my Angel of Dreams game... Doh!

Eh? All I remember was praise.

I just kill as many people as possible before I show my game, as a precaution.

I find that I keep most of my stuff to myself, at the moment, largely because I have tendency to share everything and in this day and age doing so may not lead to much financial success. I like being generous and giving stuff away, but I am having to learn not to in order to have a more viable future.

I'm still silently working on my cannon game. I'm not showing anything, because i'm going sooooo slow. ETA 2015 :o) I'll still be using the beta of max3d by then :oP
